Assuming I have spare cash of $100K and might need to use it in a year time. Is FD the best way now? Am currently considering CIMB due to their 1.75%?

What is the best course of action for me at the moment? Am looking for quite a short term investment such as a fixed deposit considering my circumstance.

1 year is very short term, so most likely i will put the money in high yielding account, getting 1.x% interest, thats not much you can do.

For a time period of 1 year, I would usually park them in a high yield savings account (DBS Multiplier, OCBC 360, UOB One), SSB, or fixed deposits as capital guarantee is very important. Your preferred choice for CIMB is definitely viable if you do not qualify for the conditions required for high yield savings account.
