As I do not want to have too many credit cards (probably 2-3 at most), any recommended credit cards that can cover most spending catgeories?

Depends on whether you want cashback or miles. For miles they are quite common, for cashback wise is AMEX TCB/ UOB absolute Cashback, Citi Cashback + , Maybank FnF

You can look based on what is your top spending categories, then decide the best card that tackles them. Eg. For grocery, or restaurants, for petrol or travel

If one size fits all then usually a good cashback card will help. If you have sufficient spending, some like UOB One can give higher interests.
