Hello Anon,
Here are the share transfer fees for transferring from SCB Online Trading platform to Interactive Brokers Singapore taken from the Standard Charted website.
Unfortunately, I do not know anyone who has done so but according to this reddit thread:
"You can't. I did that 5 years ago but I read recently on HWZ that they changed the rule... you can't transfer now. can only sell at SCB and buy at IB when you are ready to switch
The unsuccessful transfer was attempted from SCB to IB LLC if I read it right on HWZ. IBKR SG (with a different custodian) is new so nobody has attempted a transfer from SCB to IBKR SG and reported back yet.
So the truth is we don't know if it works or not.
ahh I see I see! thanks for update I learned something new!
Chances are their custodian for LSE is the same regardless of which regional entity of IB you’re using. So I would say slim chances, but no harm attempting."
But like the last commenter said although the chances are slim, there is no harm trying!
Hope this helps!
