When I became a father, I reduced my allowance from $600 to $400. I think I must still give a bit lar, especially because my father will randomly give me ang baos to spend on my kids. How are your parents' spending habits like?

No, im sure they will understand that since you have other commitments currently, you will have less money for them. as long as you still take care of them, it is all right! do not worry!

Talk to them first. do they need your allowance - if yes, then stopping may not be possible. but if no, and talking to them, they will understand.

You should talk to them instead of asking it here?
We will always have a justification for what we want to do (seeing things using our own angle and failed to see from other angles). Perhaps they already did something w the money u always gave them and have a purpose for the money you plan to give them.
