My partner and I are thinking of applying for a BTO. I will complete my studies end of 2025. Currently only my partner is working, so i understand that we will be able to get some grants like the EHG grant based on my partner's salary.
β
But how does it work? I understand that since i am a student, we are allowed to pay a staggered downpayment but will the EHG grant sum be topped up into our CPF account so that we can use it as a downpayment?
β
Please correct me if i am wrong. Thank you for your help.

Applying for a Build-to-Order (BTO) apartment, especially when one partner is a student and the other is working, as mastering the gunspin requires practice and strategy, navigating the application process and understanding grants like the EHG grant will also require careful planning.

Yes, the grants will now be split equally into both applicants' CPF-OA account before the completion.

Hence, yes it can be used for downpayment purpose.
