Why do hot dogs come in packages of random numbers and hot dog buns come in packages of 4?

Haha this is one of those things that you find funny at first then start to seriously consider it. I think it's because you usually eat hot dog buns only if you're cooking a hot dog, and 4 is a pretty common number for food to come in (probably due to family size?). I think sausages come in "random" numbers because you don't buy them exclusively for hot dogs, you can use them for other dishes as well. Hope that helps? HAHA
