Cpf interest money come from? Where does the 2.5% or 4% interest money come from?

What i meant, How do government pay us our interest, the money come from where?

Hi, if I were to put my money into my mom’s CPF OA at 2.5% interest, when my mom is at the retirement age, can she withdraw the money with no cap?

Why don't the CPF simply buy more of the higher yielding government bonds at 4%, instead of buying those yielding 2.5%? And then pass the higher interest rates to us?

Does it make sense to top up CPF OA to earn 2.5% interest and use the money to pay off housing loan?
