Have a diploma in Optometry. Want to further my studies - optometry degree (50k), business degree at suss (~16k).
Am thinking of doing healthcare ops- more progression, less stagnant. What are your opinions? Optometry or business?

What are your concerns? Is it financial or interest or parental/peer pressure?
I think it’s best to go with a programme you are intrinsically interested in so as to motivate yourself to complete your studies and ultimately find a career you enjoy— if you do something well and enjoy the work, money will come eventually. A lot of people mistakenly thought it was the other way round without taking into consideration that there are other more important things about a fulfilling career than money and progression.
Ultimately it’s best to decide your own path after you have done enough research on both programmes.

Personally I am currently doing Biomedical Engineering in SUSS. I studied allied health previously during Polytechnic _(ps: I am not comfortable with revealing the specific profession I am in as it's a very small industry. But what I studied previously has got 0 relevance with engineering). _Even though my diploma allows me to be a practicing clinician and pays me well I felt that there was not much career progression and my job and pay will be stagnant. I didn't wanted to study
If you are interested in healthcare-ops industry I think this degree is very useful. Also, if you are keen you can take a minor in thinks like marketing, supply chain management or organisation management as well!
