What's your ideal date night on Valentine's day?

I'm not sure what's your definition of romantic, but I think an annual ritual of flowers and expensive dinners can get dull over time.

So last year, my boyfriend planned a whole afternoon of retracing his childhood with me. Going to his favourite yong tau foo place as a kid, and telling me all the quirks and stories he had while eating at that particular place every Sunday. Went to the malls he used to visit after primary school, and how he'll stop by this small shop to buy nuggets. The shop owner knew him so well that they taught him how to use the fryer so he can make the nuggets himself LOL. (We live in opposite ends of Singapore, so the places he planned were totally new to me.)
While it wasn't the fanciest, I think we laughed a lot at all the stories and we definitely felt closer to each other. And I think this is what Valentine's is all about.
