As someone who is still reading on investing, I have been hearing “Beat the market, you benchmark on the ETF that you have invested against SPDR STI ETF and Nikko AM STI ETF” Pardon me if I phrased it wrongly.
Does that mean you are trying to beat the rate of return against SPDR STI ETF and Nikko AM STI ETF by investing in Group of stocks ?

Beat the S&P 500 always, haha
but honestly, beating the MSCI World or MSCI ACWI would still be very O.K. with a Singapore market portfolio.

If you are fully invested in SG then the benchmark will be STI.
