What is one thing you would spend your bonus income on?

Is there something you have always wanted to indulge in with the extra income?

Hey, thanks for this fun question haha

The model** **answer is I would spend my bonus income on generating more income, which is increasing my monthly investment contributions and portfolio, so that I can generate even more returns

The personal** **answer is I would indulge it on good food. Going to all the expensive restaurants that I've always wanted to dine with my family and friends. I am a total foodie!

I totally agree

As I am self employed, I don't get bonuses, but if income is better on some months, I would like to indulge in a shopping spree for undervalued stocks of good companies.

There are plenty of stocks that are on my watchlist, but only so much capital to go around.

If nothing is undervalued, I'll probably increase my Unit Trust DCA amount for a year or two, and keep the rest in a warchest.

Dyson hairdryer! HAHAH

Even though I can afford it, I have been contemplating on whether or not I should purhcase it. Even with bonus income I will still be contemplating on it as I am not sure if its worth the price tag for a hairdryer.

Perhaps when the price drop to $350 I would purchase it (but i guess that will not be happening).

I got it as a Xmas present for my wife. she was skeptical at first as she was fine with her hairdryer then but the dyson grew on her. it helps her save time at night, which she loves...haha

While investment may seem like a way to go, I would also set aside some money to invest on myself :) It could be upgrading myself by taking additional certification. Given that we are now working from home because of the covid situation, perhaps it is also time to invest some of our bonuses on IT gadgets and furnitures.

Definitely reinvest...into the economy hahha. Money makes the world goes round right. The more you spent the better the economy gets, the better the economy gets, the better your bonus gets. HAHAHA

If only one thing, I will spent on a new iPhone. Been using my iPhone SE for years, now that the new iPhone SE is out, I will be getting that!

For me, I top-up my CPF SA Account to earn the interest!

I get my bonus in December and would top-up in January.

It may be no fun - money in, money out - but I believe in working hard while I'm still young :D

I would totally INDULGE it in buying myself a good blender and oven for my home cooking needs. Through this CB, I have been getting into cooking more often and making my own meals. I realised that I actually like it quite a lot HAHA

Another thing I would do is go on a long awaited holiday with my boyfriend! I would love to go to places like Maldives to relax and scuba dive, or visit faraway countries like Europe and America. Been in Asia my whole life :")

In no order

  1. Chair

  2. Books

  3. Good pillow

  4. Shoes

  5. Family

Typically will save it if I have all of the above.

A collected works book edition of some good (or at least interesting) author:

... just f.ex.: William Faulkner, Joseph Conrad, Martin Heidegger, Ludwig Wittgenstein,

Franz Kafka.

The best thing to spend on, would be your future!

Alternatively, something that retains value or could appreciate would be great as well!

As always, any extra income that doesn't arise out of my normal work is always saved and not spent. Above all, I only spend money that is accounted for in my monthly budget. Here is how I do it.

How I do My Budget:

How to create a Monthly Budget

I wish I will indulge in myself, but unfortunately planning for my future is more important.

I share quality content on estate planning and financial planning here.

TRAVEL!

One year, I spent my bonus on my Italy honeymoon. Another year, I spent it on a trip in Maldives.
