What happens to an insurance agent's remuneration on the policy they have sold you once they are no longer tied as an agent for that insurance company?

Do they continue to receive fees? If yes, is the full sum or just a portion

99.999999% no.

depends on the insurer's remuneration policy. fees most likely go to the agency.
