What are your thoughts about SIA offering voluntary early retirement for its cabin crew? Is this a sign that the travel industry will not pick up so soon and should this pose a concern for investors?

I'm considering buying SIA stocks, any advice?

I would say hurt in the short term. Long term they will be fine.

Revenues will be affected because of travel bans. Many places have restrictions and it will take some time to go back to the 2019 norms.

While planes remains idle, money is still spend on maintainence and payment of their employees.

If you are planning to buy travel stocks , expect returns in years not anytime soon.

If the company financials are hurt, so will the price of the stock.

If you are a long term investor, you should not worry about the short term worries.
