Should a 50 year old single person with CPF OA 200k to buy a resale 3 room flat or single BTO unit?

Personally, would go for a resale 3BR which is essentially 2 bedrms. One of the room could be a guest rm should your relatives or parents come visit and stay over or simply be your home office/study rm.. but with limited budget, try to pick one in good location within peripheral but promising towns such as sembawang/ woodlands.

Do you need the extra room?

Else I think 2 room flat better leh, can use the money saved to do other things or for your retirement.
