In my opinion, apple is one of the most user friendly but only if you're into their ecosystem. Otherwise I prefer the customizability of android.

Not true. There are high-end, high-performing Android phones too. And wait, are iPhones as performant as their Android counterparts for the same price?

In addition, price doesn't always equal to value. It's up to you to extract the most value out of your phone.
