Is it worth to get a UOB Metro Card just for the Metro discounts?

Hi Anon, I would say that the UOB Metro Card is worth for you to get if you are an avid shopper at Metro, but otherwise, getting other credit/rebate cards may be more suitable depending on the rewards you are looking for.

Here are some features of the UOB Metro Card:

• 10% off regular-priced items all year round

• 5% rebates on all merchandise, including sales items at Metro (these come in the form of Metro$ which you use to pay for your next purchase at Metro)

• 20% off on your birthday month

• Complimentary delivery service with a minimum spending of $150 nett at Metro, or $250 nett at Storewide Events

• Earn UNI$1 for every S$5 charged to the UOB Metro Card, which can be redeemed for various rewards

As you can see, the rewards mainly appeal to people who shop heavily at Metro, and would otherwise just be a normal UOB credit card. Nevertheless, if you decide to apply for the card, do apply online before 30 June 2020 to get up to S$150 cash credit! Hope this helps :)
