You earn up to 6 points per dollar when you make a payment with your GrabPay wallet. A $5 voucher roughly costs 2,500 points to redeem. This means that you get roughly about 1.2% "cash back" using the earn rate of 6 points per dollar.

Compare this to paying directly with the UOB One card, where they offer a 5% bonus rebate on Grab transactions (excluding topups) on top of the card rebate of up to 5%. Additionally, you can buy Grab vouchers on Shopee for 10% off before you book your ride and save even more! UOB also offers a 5% bonus rebate on Shopee transactions.

However, to enjoy the rebates, you must spend at least $500 monthly on your UOB One card or your spend will to go to waste. If you are unable to do so, it may make more sense to use another card or the GrabPay wallet.
