Is it 'worth' investing $1-2k to get a driving license?

Currently thinking if I should get a driving license but realized it will take quite a bit of my time and money ($1-2k). Do you think I should go ahead with it? Or what should I do with this $1-2k saved?

I have had the same doubts last time but now my driving licence is put to good use when I travel overseas and have had to drive long distances.

If you are just talking about monetary terms, then no, you don't have to waste your money to get a driving license since the transport infrastructure here are already great.. IF you are talking about life skills and backup etc, then it will be a Yes!

If you intend to get a car or drive grab/gojek or cab, it is definitely worthwhile.
