If I set up a standing instruction on DBS to portion part of my salary into another bank's savings account, is that portioned amount counted as salary crediting?

Not sure how it works and am hoping I can get some help from the community.

Nope, the transaction code is not seen as salary crediting from a company.

It is seen as money tranfer from the receipent bank.

Hence will not qualify

Is it via GIRO and is coded as GIRO-SALA, GIRO-SALARY, GIRO - PAY?

If not, then no. The T&Cs for the salary credit mention the above.

If your company HR system allows you to portion your salary into different bank accounts, then it maybe will qualify (subject to the minimum amount required for the account).
