I will be 55 next year & have enough in my OA to meet the ERS. I want CPF to meet the ERS fr my OA so I want to invest all my SA $. How can I do this? So far I see investments allowing $ from OA only?

How do I go about doing this and what are the steps that I should be taking?

Hi anon,

SA monies can be invested so that when RA is formed, it will consist of the first $40K from SA and the rest from OA. Note that you will actually only have FRS formed first, and you'll have to give instructions in order to transfer the rest of the funds from OA to meet ERS.

To invest your SA, you'll need an investment account such as POEMS and will have to get Unit Trusts. Any investment grade bond fund should work fine, for example, UOB United SGD. You'll need to open an account first, then link it to your SA (at least, for POEMS), and then buy the fund prior to your 55th birthday.

If i understand your question correctly, you are trying to do CPF SA shielding (refer to the link below). One of the bond you can buy is Nikko AM Shenton Short term bond fund.
