I need some recommendations of which travel/student insurance to get for students studying abroad?

I’m a Singaporean studying overseas in the UK and as everyone knows there are many different types of insurance that covers different things at different prices.

So I would like to know if anyone knows any cheap or worth in insurance that covers the main and essential things needed for students (I.e illness, hospitalisation, any flight delays or luggage claims, protection of sponsor in case anything happens etc.)

Depending on the school that you are studying in, some might have basic health insurance for all students. This is to prevent any overlap in coverage.
It is recommended for you to get travel insurance. This is especially so if you are considering traveling around while you are there. Travel insurance would help cover issues such as loss or damage of valuables, travel interruption, and also leisure activities.
There are also student-specific insurances that provide coverage such as exam delay cover. Some insurers that provide these policies include Income Singapore and MSIG.
Do get in touch if you are keen to find out more.
