Is your global fund an ETF listed in US? If so you can consider TDameritrade. No inactivity fees.

I don't work for them and I do not have referral code. But I do know of two methods to lower commissions, if you are interested.

Hey Ying! I am using IB too and sure understand your concerns. I have friends who choose to hold them with TD Ameritrade or SAXO. Saxo charges at 0.12% p.a for your stocks in the holding and a minimum of USD4 per trade. Same goes for TD, which charges a flat USD10.65 per trade.

I heard that SCB is not a bad option too for holding because they do not have custody fee. As for Etoro, I personally not that keen on that platform as I feel that it is too gimmicky. Even the influencers that they use are like a joke. Hence, as someone who read and listen to their brand messages/image, I would think they are unsafe.

If you are purchasing at high amount, do calculate the fees properly and be sure not to lose out on the commission, exchanges, and custodian fees.
