Hi Anon! Good job on that hustle and earning income while studying! Personally, I was doing PT jobs during poly as well but was only earning about $400-$500/month as extra pocket money. For now, what i can suggest you is to continue saving and start reading up about investing and building your wealth. When you feel you are ready to start you would already have a headstart with a large capital.
It's great to be thinking about your financials early.
Each of us are different so how much savings we should have individually depends. As a student, unless you have financial difficulties, I would advise focusing more time on studies since the returns from better grades in the form of more opportunities, higher pay, potential scholarships, would be higher than what you can earn from part time jobs.
For emergency funds, a rough guide would be about 6 months' worth of expenditure (or more depending on the level of security desired) for usually individuals that are self-dependent.
U can start of by using an expense tracker. Work out your expenses then start savings from there.
remember, you're already doing a great job by starting out early. :)
