How would i receive dividends in Singapore?

I've started to invest in some company specifically sheng shiong, DBS, OCBC & Capital mall trust. I'm interested in knowing if i only receive cash dividend in my bank account? I want to try compound interest but I have no idea if there is any special action that I must do in order to do that. What price would they sell each share if i were to do that? This is very confusing. Thank you for anyone who replies. Your very generous with your time.

you will most certainly receive a mail when they about to issue dividends or special rights, DRIP, etc

Hi Liaw Vui Haw, if you have signed up for direct crediting service with your broker, you will receive the dividends straight to your bank account.

By "I want to try compound interest", I think you mean dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP) or scrip dividend.

If the company you own shares in doesn't have DRIP, then you have to purchase more of the company's shares yourself. Of course, you have to consider commission fees here.

If the company has DRIP, then you will be sent a letter to elect for shares instead of cash when the company declares a dividend. As for the share price, it depends on the company. It's usually at a 10% discount to the market price.

For DBS, you can check out this website: https://www.dbs.com/investors/financials/divide....

For DBS' 2019 final dividend, there won't be scrip dividends applied. You can refer to the bottom of Page 1 here: https://links.sgx.com/FileOpen/4Q19_performance...
