How to purchase FundSmith Equity as a retail investor in Singapore?

Is FundSmith Equity only available through ILPs? What are the insurance companies that offer this fund and the corresponding fees?

Hi there,

You can only buy this fund if you are an accredited investor. Previously a few ILPs allowed retail investors to buy into this fund, however there are higher costs with relation to an ILP. You might have missed the boat.

In any case, they are transparent in their holdings. You can buy into an ETF with similar composition at a lower cost ratio, that of course, depends on what you are actually looking for.

Hope i was able to shed some light!

Fundsmith is available for Accredited Investors on the iFast platform or via ILPs or for retails investors in the UK.

Charges on ILPs can be very different with longer holding periods on ILPs. For example, you can get an ILP with a 0.18% p.a break even yield on charges after including bonuses and a 30-yr premium commitment.
