How do you usually fund your US equity? (Do you transfer SGD to the broker then use their platform or rather open a multi-currency account from a bank, etc)?

Depending on what the platform supports.

If it doesn’t support external USD account funding, will transfer SGD and convert using the platform.

If it supports other methods of funding, will use multi-currency account.

For POEM
Just transfer from bank to the platform with SGD
Then when buying US stock, u can settle with SGD/USD. Select SGD it will auto change for u.

For Interactive broker
Normally i can convert SGD on their platform
