Hi Anon,

That’s a good question with no easy answer 😊

First of all you should know yourself: what’s your unique situation, do you have an emergency fund in place, are there any foreseeable events coming up that require cash and, very importantly, what is your risk appetite!

Thankfully, kristal.AI helps you with your discovering your risk profile and – subsequently – our investment algorithm will suggest ETFs or ETF baskets that are suited to your specific profile!

If you need any further help, please don’t hesitate to contact customer support (Whatsapp or email) anytime!

There are 3 key approaches you can take to investing via kristal.ai:

  1. Thematic Investing- refers to investing in a particular area or sub-sector which some ETFs are structured upon. Take 2 of my favourite ETFs on kristal.ai for example, ARKK is focused on companies revolving around disruptive innovation while CLOU is focused on companies in cloud computing.

  2. Geographic Exposure - Do you wish to invest in the U.S only, Europe, Asia, China, Asia Pacific or no limits on geographic exposure? Some ETFs are structured based on geographic exposure.

  3. Risk Appetite - If you're looking for safer ETFs, you can look at Bond ETFs where the ETFs are made up of a basket of bonds which are highly secure. A slightly riskier with higher upside type of ETF would be dividend ETFs where the underlying equities are focused on dividend-paying companies. These companies are generally more stable and pay out regular dividends so you can expect more stable returns. The last type would be what all other ETFs fall under which is made up of a basket of mostly large to midcap companies. Such ETFs are usually the highest risk but also with most upside potential.
