How do I invest in Gold products on CPFIS?

I’ve been reading that we can invest in Gold products on CPFIS. How do I go about doing? I know only UOB allows for it and I have a CPFIS account with UPB. Must I go down to one of the UOB branches to do so or can I do it online?

Hi,

You'll be able to buy SPDR gold shares regardless of which local bank your CPFIS account is open with.

However, if you are looking for gold certificates/physical gold, then yes, they can only be done with UOB. It used to be only available over the counter, but I believe you should be able to transact online now. You've already satisfied the first criteria of having a CPFIS with UOB, so you can open a gold savings account and start.
