Hi Anon,

Wow $2, even Ananas Cafe costs $2.50 now… 😅 But apparently, yes you still can!

1. Laksa and more ($2)

Located at South Bridge Road, Frenzlink Cafeteria is constantly packed with people looking to get a great steal for just $2!

And yes, Frenzlink doesn’t just serve $2 Laksa, but Bak Chor Mee, Prawn Noodles, Laksa, Bak Chor Mee, Fishball Noodles, Wanton Mee, Lor Mee, Mee Rebus and Mee Siam as well!

66 year old Uncle Ah Cai has not raised the price of his noodles for the last 22 years. So please do support Uncle Ah Cai if you’re ever in the area!

62 South Bridge Road, Singapore 058692

Daily 6AM to 3PM Closed on Sundays

Nearest MRT: Clarke Quay

2. Carrot Cake ($2)

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a $2 carrot cake…

Unlike most stores who usually get it from factory suppliers. Heng Leong Carrot Cake makes its own fresh radish cake from scratch for both their black and white fried carrot cakes.

The reviews reflect a strong taste of the wokhei with a generous portion for the price of $2!

Pek Kio Market & Food Centre, 41A Cambridge Road, #01-13 Singapore 211041

Tues to Sun, 7.30AM to 3.30PM Closed on Mondays

Nearest MRT: Farrer Park

3. Fishball Noodles ($2)

Never have I ever… Seen fishball noodles in Singapore that go for $2!

With a whooping five fishballs, and noodles topped with fried pork lard and ikan bilis, just… Take my $2.

Old Airport Road Hawker Centre, 51 Old Airport Road, #01-17 Singapore 390051

Daily 10AM to 10.30PM

Nearest MRT: Dakota

During this pandemic, let’s continue to do our best to support our local hawkers yeah! If you're ordering in, do keep an eye out for how much you're spending on food deliveries!

Hi anon,

Some days, I just each a fan choy from the coffeeshop and make a cup of tea for lunch. Or maybe a loh mai kai.

That's just $1.40. And I'm not overly fond of stuffing myself as I age so sometimes we really just need to eat until we don't feel hungry, as opposed to eating until we feel full.

So yes, you can still get food for $2 (or less)
