Hi all, would appreciate if I could get some advice/opinion on this. I'm looking into getting insurance for myself and chanced upon the AIA secure income. Any other similar policies?

Coverage is 100k and quite interested as once you reach age 75, you will receive a total of 50k cashback. Are there any other similar policies out there worth comparing and considering? Thanks!

Hey there!

I'm assuming you mean AIA Power Critical Cover? :) It offers CI coverage for all stages, multiple claims for special conditions like osteoporosis and it's the only product to offer pre-early benefit too eg. excisions of benign tumour etc. Highly comprehensive.

The cash value aspect is actually optional. In fact, if you have a family history of illnesses, I will strongly discourage you from opting the cash value option since the cashback can only be withdrawn if there were no previous claims. If you opt for the cash value aspect, do note that your premiums are highly likely to be 40% more expensive. The upside is that it provides coverage up till 100 years old compared to the basic plan.

I will advise you to chat with a licensed AIA Financial Advisor to see if this product will work for you. Feel free to reach out here if in need!

Hi there. Are you referring to Secure Flexi by AIA? Don't recall there being a Secure Income product. Is a life insurance you are looking for or endowment/annuity?

When you are 75

there is the possibility that AIA went bankrupt,

that the cashback could be reduce...
