Does it matter how much I should have in my CPF OA and in cash before deciding to buy a house? Or is it not an important consideration?

Asking this because I'm planning to buy my BTO next year.

Hi Anon,

One thing for sure, is ensuring that you have at least enough for the downpayment. How much depends on the price of the BTOs you looking at, and also which loan you plan to take, Bank or HDB loan. With Bank Loan, you will need to pay a higher downpayment, and a portion of it has to be in cash.
