Does anyone have experience in investing with interactive brokers before? Could you please share some tips for beginners? Is there a beginners guide somewhere?
Was reading Shiny Things guide online; but there isn’t a tutorial on how to use interactive Brokers...keen to use it to buy and hold ETFs.
Looking for people to share their knowledge and to coach me..in exchange for maybe( or open for discussion, I’m quite good at Chinese language..)

Hi Sj, I will recommend you to use the IBKR Mobile App for a start which is alot easier to navigate and trade. Basically, I started out with that and it has all the functions required - transfer of funds, currency conversion (e.g. from SGD to USD), orders, report, etc. Unless you need very advanced functions, otherwise there is no need to use Trader Workstation (TWS).
Have you already opened an account? If you are looking at anything specific i might be able to share some helpful resources/links.
