I'm an older millennial that entered the workforce sometime back. I currently work in investments, and love capital/financial markets. I am well remunerated as well, but absolutely hate the workplace politics of people trying to kiss ass their way up. Just wondering how people go to work to believe in what they do.

I believe you don't have to love your job. I see it as a means to an end (which is to earn money for financial freedom). I think you just have to not hate your job such that you can do it diligently. And use your own time to pursue the things you love. But I I agree it's difficult to get through each day if you don't even believe what you do is meaningful or value-adding. Makes you question your purpose each day... but remember, your job is not your identity.

I believe that when it becomes a job, a must-do, and not a want to do, the love will disappear. Though I do think some rare folks might really love their job.
