Hi all, I am eligible for the GST Voucher - Cash which is said to have paid out in August. Checked my bank account since Aug till date, no such deposits have been make and no cheque has been received too. Should I let it go and allow it to be credited into my OA? If not, to whom should I chase it up?

I believe that the letter you recently received about PayNow in Dec is referring to the SG Bonus, not GST voucher. GST vouchers would already have been paid out in August 2018.

    Hey there Anonymous!

I was reading more at the GST Voucher website... first you must know if you are eligible first for the GST Voucher? Based on the guidelines here: https://www.gstvoucher.gov.sg/Pages/index.aspx

You should also login there using your SingPass. And check your account payout and update your bank details.

If you are eligible, it also mentioned that having a designated bank account for the money to be credited into your account would be the most convenient way for you to receive your GSTV – Cash payout.

This will be faster and more convenient compared to the hassle of waiting 2 additional weeks for the cheque to be mailed to you and having to cash it in at the bank. (presuming you have not gotten it via the cheque so far)

By default, your designated bank account would be the last account that has been used to receive payout from the government. If you wish to check or change the bank account, you can do so at the GST Voucher website.

If you have already registered to receive GST Voucher payouts in the past, you do not need to do anything and will automatically receive your GST Voucher payouts this year as well.

Lastly, for those who have not signed up for the GST Voucher scheme or other government payouts, they have until Dec 31 to sign up online or through a hard copy forms at community centres.
