Can I be main applicant in 1 BTO application, and be occupier in another BTO application?

I am planning to apply for BTO with my husband-to-be, and my mum under the MGPS so we can live near each other. Since i will be main applicant in my own application, can my mum still list me as occupier in her application? If she doesn’t list me as occupier, i might be left ‘homeless’ if she gets the BTO flat and i didn’t, right? How does this work?
