M1 has a promotion for sim-only plan, 20$ for 30gb/mth for a first year.
But then in the shop, it also appeared that I have to pay 35$ for a sim, and on my first bill another 10$ fee appeared to registring "new line".

From my knowledge, the charges for the SIM card is standard (though high cost in my opinion). In like manner, the registration fee is normal fee.
In any case, check with the customer service to see you can get it waived.
