I find it very hard to get out of bed in the morning cause I feel so tired. Going to sleep early doesn’t work for me. Anyone have any tips?

Hey Anon!
If you happen to use your phone before bed, it could be affecting the quality of your rest. This is because:
It keeps your mind psychologically engaged
The blue light from the screen suppresses melatonin
The alerting properties delay REM sleep

It's not easy to resist using your phone before bed, I'm trying to get rid of this bad habit as well.
One thing I'm trying out is to play an audio book (on NLB Overdrive - can set up a free account and borrow books there!) and set a timer, this keeps my mind engaged so I won't be thinking about too many things before bed and there are days when I fall asleep before the 15 min timer is up HAHHAHA.
Hope this helps!

Hmm.. sounds totally contradictory but maybe working out is a good option? It's like working out before sleeping gives you a better sleep. Also prevents me from spending too much time on social media.

Sometimes it’s not that you feel tired, it could be stress from other things which then your body tries to tell you that you are tired. So maybe you’re looking at the wrong problem.
For me a few months ago I also always awake alr but i don’t feel like moving and doing things. But I realise that it was because I too stress of what I had to do and the uncertainties. So what I did is I wrote a list of all the things that I needed to do. Then I will try to start with the easiest task. This is so that I don’t feel so demotivated.
So for me, I won’t force myself to go out of bed if I can’t. For the sake of my mental health, I would say find out why you feel lazy. Doesn’t make sense we’re just lazy. It might be we have things affecting us. So don’t go too hard on yourself 😇
