Sure you can make alot of money in the short-term, but you have to spend so much effort learning and watching the markets so closely. and this is not something that most of us have time to do. Thus, i'd say the long term investing strategy is the way to go. while you may not earn as much as traders, you make solid returns for taking on much lower risks and hving a peace of mind. and a peace of mind is priceless.

If you are unsure of where to put your money, i would suggest an etf tracking a broad index such as the S&P500 or world index.

As for when is a good time to enter the market, analyst has been saying that a bear market is coming since last year but the market just keeps rising. If one were to stay out of the market since last year, they would have missed out on more than 50% capital gains. thus, i still think that adopting a dollar cost averaging and not worrying about timing the market is the best way to go. time in the markettiming the market. so just stay the course and keep buying every month even as the market hit new highs. and if the market dips? just buy more.

all the best on your journey!

You have to set your own definition of bear. How low is low. Dont FOMO when the bull are in control.

Short-term investment is costly from a time prespective. Sure you could make some quick gain by trad...
