If you want to invest, I think it going to be a good investment for capital appreciation.
Sell it off after 5 years.
Please don't take it as retirement house. Investment and retirement have different needs.

I think that SG property js still more worth the investment smaller but will always appreciate...

I am really wondering how these near RTS properties are a good investment. i am just wondering who are the people who will rent or buy. the only people i can think off are those working in SG but cant buy a HDB or property there. so they buy nearby but will still have to travel at least 1hr ++ to work. those who are renting in SG ( eg: 1room = $900sgd. 2 people share = $ 450sgd = $1485rm.) the dual key units near RTS are going for $ 1800 per room. so still cheaper in SG. the main issue is this. if a lot of malaysian transfer to JB for rent, i think the SG rental will go down, then its more intising for them to go back and rent in SG??? i think the only people who can benefit are those who cant get HDB because maybe not PR????
