This is a very difficult decision. I would suggest to discuss with yr grandma with the doc, family & let her to make the choice.
We did that when my mum suffered stage 4 cancer and required major surgery. After hearing the doc's explanation on the procedures and painful recovery processes (with slim chance of full recovery given her senior age) & the possible costs (although I had a hospitalisation insurance for her), she opted not to proceed but lived a few more months gracefully. It was a relief for her in a better place.
