Would you recommend ETFs or robo-advisors for a new investor?

It’s quite hard to answer this question without knowing which exact ETF (asset class or geography wise) or which robo-advisor you’re looking at. However if the robo-advisor assists in providing a good, diversified portfolio for you or advocates somewhat of a regular-savings plan invested into conservative long-term allocations, that could be a good start as opposed to making a singular call into a specific ETF.
