Hi Melani,
I think that depends, cause life insurance has cash value, however with the current trends in life insurance, the cash value isn't like how they used to in the past. So in that regard, it would be better to make a decision after looking at the policy illustration to have a better idea.
In regards to health insurance, it should be considered as expenses because it's a wealth protection policy which reimburses us when we are hospitalised.
