Would you consider a career in teaching (MOE) to be better than a research officer job (degree)?

I have a passion in teaching and has been teaching part time on weekends.

Currently a degree holder in research job but contract basis - limited growth and salary increases - can earn 4k but in next research job, i can go back to as low as 3.5k etc.

Would it make sense to take up PGDE offer and go into teaching full time?
