My journey after my engineering course started as a technical hands-on Software engineer doing some application development and moved to networking architecting and design configurations before moving to business development and sales role. It helped me in a way to have a strong technology foundation which allow you to articulate the vaule of the technology as business benefits. I guess one of the most available sales roles are channel partner sales and technology alliances which requires to learn more of stakeholder management, influencing skills , articulation of value proposistion etc. I guess the excitement of learning new skill set and technology and the challenge to keep yourself abreast with new technology motivates me . As you can see in my career progression within ICT I have moved on from technical hands-on consulting to business development and strategic alliance sales keeps the journey meaningful. I would be happy to have a session with you to give you more insights and guide you if you would need in this direction.
