Why is MOM allowing foreigners with DP to work under the disguise of setting up a shell company with a pseudo singaporean as the director? This takes away the jobs of singaporeans. The classic example, look at Singapore Canoe Federation. There are so many foreign coaches and some even work for others under another company name? Even better Singapore Dragonboat Association, you have TEACHERS who can work outside of their teacher role, apparently given permissions. looks like their job scope in school isnt too heavy after all.

  1. there seems to be a mismatch between school curriculum and industry expectations. MOE wants to "teach less learn more". ITE / poly / uni not detailed/ in depth. industries want certain experiences, does not prefer fresh grad or will lowball fresh grad. what is it that the government wants to develop? can be upfront? can tell industries be upfront what skills are required? please don't say motherhood statements like soft skills, continual learning etc when graduates cannot even get pass the first interview without the necessary hard skills and knowledge the industry wants.
  2. whether government thinks food delivery and PHV are suitable or desirable long term jobs for singaporeans? if yes, why? if no, what is government doing to transit deliverers and driver to new jobs? or even get the curent students up to standard with the new industry.

i feel couples are putting off or not having children also because they do not see s future of meaningful decent jobs.
