While E-commerce definitely shows promise, it does not mean that retail REITs are dying. If you frequent the malls, you'll see that:
There are still many people about shopping.
You still see new shops opening up. For example, blogshops who started out selling online, expanded to physical stores.
So I wouldn't say that retail REITs are dying. In the case of Robinson, and to add on: Forever 21, H&M, etc, it has more to do with their business strategy, or lack thereof.
