Will you lose trust in banks due to the increase in phishing scams?

It is happened to my relative recently. Scammer whip out all the money from the accout. she called the bank (no1 bank in sg) and alerted immediatly. But Customer care officer told the amount is in pending. So they could not create any distubte. But on next day the money went out from the account. She again call the bank and asked about it. They told those transaction happened securly and advised her to contact merchant. Moral of story is you are just number, Bank dont care your case !

If you don't use a bank for your usual transactions, what other alternatives do we have?
