Agree with all the comments...
Just one wall should be ok if you get the approval for it. Must make sure you have approval for it or you will be forced to reinstate it before selling (even if the buyer doesn't mind).
At the end of the day, whatever reno you do, it's finding the right buyer for yourself when the time comes.

Yeah hacking doesn't really affect resale cost i feel, but some "buyers" may need the room and if they want to put back the wall, they will factor in the cost in the reno and may offer you lesser.
