Will be considering fees, variety of coins avail and ideally “safer” choice. Saw that FTX may be at risk of being banned in sg too based on one of the youtube vid seen

I have Gemini, but moved to crypto.com for my needs to purchase a different variety of coins + being able to withdraw them to the network of my choice. But you can use them interchangeably for your needs too.

If you are interested to move your coins off centralized exchanges for DeFi purposes across the variety of blockchains, having the option to withdraw them to different networks will be important. Currently Gemini only supports ERC20 tokens, but crypto.com supports alot more amongst which includes Polygon network which i use alot.

Buy/sell spread are a little high on the app, but use the crypto.com exchange to lower it. Sending funds from app to exchange and vice versa is free.

Other factors I considered:

1) I'm also using their Earn function for my ETH (4.5% interest)

2) I'm staking CRO for their visa card for 2% cashbacks (and getting a 100% cashback on Spotify) - there are higher rebates for higher tier cards

3) Onboarding SGD via StraitsX is pretty straightforward process.

If anyone needs a referral let me know.

Since binance left there is no exchange that can do the same, best is to have multiple for different use cases

Just to add my personal take, the idea of being able to earn on your crypto via their Earn function and the fuss-free recurring buy function is a plus point as well.

I like Gemini for the following reasons:

  1. BTC and ETH SGD pairs, no need to convert to USD before buying crypto, this is extremely convenient
  2. Low fees of 0.25%
  3. Does not subject to 30k SGD purchase limit
  4. 10x free withdrawals a month
  5. Good track record of security
