I heard from ppl that local grads always get called for interview. Its like private uni grads are denied of the chance to prove themselves?

I believe it will help you better if you flip the question around and ask how you can stand out amongst the local grads.
Think of ways to get to your objectives. You can either go through walls, climb over walls or go around walls etc. Get unstuck and apply your mind.
If the locals grads have to send in resume for a job, how do you make your resume stand out or even better get an interview without an resume?
If the local grads are called for an interview, can you call to get an interview?
Life is hard enough, don’t make it harder by limiting yourself. You have a choice.

I definitely do not fully agree with that. While graduate programs might have that requirement, there are plenty of opportunities for private university graduates. Especially more so for SMEs and start-ups.
There are definitely still many doors open for private University graduates! Nevertheless, it might also be worth considering to upgrade yourself by going for relevant training courses, etc. Keep hustling!
